#WokeAtTheWood #MeToo: Westwood Baptist Church Says NO!
#WokeAtTheWood is an intentional desire to advance the #MeToo Campaign in a community conversation about sexual assault in the Black Community, Black Church & beyond the walls of the Church.
The Black Church, en mass, has been radio silent on the issue of sexual assault against women of color. Over 60% of Black women are sexually assaulted before they turn 18. Black Women make up over 70% of Black congregations.

Black boys and men are also impacted by sexual assault, but rarely report. According to a study conducted by U.S. Center for Disease Control in 2005, 16% of males were sexaully abused by age 18.

#WokeAtTheWood is being held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 9:30am-3:30pm at Westwood Baptist Church, 915 Glenburnie Road, Richmond, Virginia 23226. All are encouraged to attend! The Event is FREE and open to the public.
FREE continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
